Te Anau

Today (Sept 23) we worked half a day then headed to Te Anau, the closest town to Milford Sound, which is the true destination.  We'll get there tomorrow.

Quick stop in Queenstown, to see what all the fuss is about.

Very nice resort-type town.  Very lively and touristy.

Queenstown is on the beautiful Lake Wakatipu.

Camouflaged trees?

Chris has to feel every body of water.   I guess this was too chilly for swimming.

Driving south.

The mountains keep getting higher.

Arrived in Te Anau.

We'll head to those mountains tomorrow.
