Interislander

Our job for the morning, walk the dogs.  I like this kind of work.  :)

...and a little bit of playing.

Views from the dog park were pretty nice.

Wellington.

Then we caught the Interislander Ferry to the South Island.

Goodbye Wellington.

It's a 3 hour ferry ride.  Chris is backing up some photos.

It didn't take long to get a nice view of the South Island.

Entering Marlborough Sounds.

The last hour is spent winding through the Sounds.

Very pretty.  Who needs a boat tour, when you've got a ferry ride like this?

Enjoying the view.

Hello Picton.

McCain Pizza for supper?  A little slice of home...

I can't get over the price of pop here.  That's $3.83 for a 600ml bottle!

The sun was setting, so we found a hostel and relaxed for the evening.  The drive from here to Nelson is supposed to be gorgeous, so we didn't want to do it in the dark.  We stayed at the Atlantis Backpackers... I wish I had taken pictures, because the place was great.  So much personality.  It is run by a woman from New York who was quite a character.  Maybe we'll stay there again on the way back.
