Seaweed and 1109 Steps

Great view from the veggie garden.

Planting some veggies.

Collecting seaweed for compost.

Huge waves forcing their way through that little opening.  I wouldn't want to go swimming here!

Waiting to leave for our hike with our hosts.

We're going to the top of Mount Manaia.

The goal.

Over 1109 stairs lead to the top.

Halfway point.  That's a sheer drop behind us.

We had a sudden downpour - that's it in the distance after it passed over.

Unfortunately this is just wishful thinking... I'm covering up an arrow pointing the way.

Wow.  That's high.  And very windy!

Hope that rock doesn't fall!

On the way back down.  So many stairs!

In the evening I learned how to spin wool.  Woo!
